The continuously evolving field of Cloud Technologies has brought to light an exciting new world of Cloud Analytics and Planning. TekLink has been at the cutting edge of this revolution, constantly guiding our clients towards emerging technologies that will revolutionize data analytics and planning for years to come.
Looking back, 2021 held the promise of a productive year as the industry adapted to the new virtual realm, implementing the learnings accrued from a challenging 2020. The prospect of corporations working 100% remotely was viewed with skepticism, but it was proven in practice and came with a tremendous benefit – the ability to source talent from anywhere in the world.
Considering the virtual and remote nature of the last two years, we predict a 2022 return to the gradual onsite presence in tandem with virtual projects. A fully virtual project carries inherent risks, some seen, some unseen. Team building and problem-solving are best gauged through face-to-face encounters; whose subtleties are harder to convey virtually. Although the current virtual trend may continue for the foreseeable future, the need for companies to remain flexible is never higher. Work-life balance has always been a challenging proposition, further compounded by the work-from-home ethic. Recognizing people as your greatest asset – will be a trend to allow more efficient management from afar.
Furthermore, going forward for 2022 and beyond, we see clients requiring more IT project ROI analysis as part of the Project Discover Phase taking into consideration the plethora of available solutions and methodologies in a “quick-win” world. We predict companies will tend towards more financially astute decisions that include greater adoption techniques in order to be successful. As an example, detailed cost-benefit scenarios, especially in Mid-Market companies, will have to be more robust today than in previous eras. As such, TekLink’s time-tested tradition of delivering on time and on a budget will gain greater significance for our clients.
What is also clear over this past year across all our clients and prospects is that even though Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Predictive Sciences may be in vogue, the hard, the important, and perhaps less exciting work is the effort around the data platform creation. Although not garnering the exciting headlines, the basic blocking and tackling needed in the area of data definition, loading, staging, cleaning, and transformation should be key 2022 goals going forward. Every client has fundamental data issues that prohibit each from obtaining its Analytics and Planning goals. This fact should not be glossed over in importance despite our previously mentioned advancement of cloud-based delivery tools and frameworks.
The pandemic brought the world to a standstill. Each business has had to accommodate the sweeping organizational changes that became necessary. Amid such difficult times, a significant focus has been a corporation’s retention of the existing workforce in order to compete in this ever-important Data Analytics and Planning world. Additionally, a focus on the steady recruitment of quality resources has been a key contributing factor to a vibrant work culture which in turn helps in retention. Add frequent quality training to retention and recruitment, and low and behold, you have the beginnings of a winning team and culture. Case in point, looking internally here at TekLink, the growth and continuous education of our TekLink workforce focusing on technology skill sets and certifications along with our real-world solutions have been a vital aspect of our competitive advantage. We recruit and will source the best talent from anywhere in the world. Keeping our consultants’ skills honed in the latest and greatest Cloud Applications allows us to provide solutions that businesses require for 2022 and beyond. TekLink has always endeavored to create value borne out of our high-performing consultants.
