Our client is an American multinational food manufacturing company focused on producing cereal, and other convenience foods, including crackers and toaster pastries. Their manufacturing units are set up in more than 15 countries, with their products distributed worldwide.
Business Challenges and Objectives
- The support for the client’s current BPC and Oracle Version was coming to an end.
- The client also looked to decommission some of their on-premises applications and migrate to AWS.
- The client wanted to implement newer BPC Features and use the functionalities to overcome the dependency on the Flash Browser.
The Solution
- The TekLink Team upgraded the client’s existing BW 7.4/BPC 10.0 on Oracle to BW 7.5/BPC 10.1 using SUM DMO.
- The Team completed the BPC upgrade and migration to AWS hardware with a single business outage.
- We also ran multiple migration iterations of the production system to optimize the downtime further.
- We executed standard and client-specific pre- and post-migration tasks on the source and target system.
- The team also worked on fine-tuning the performance of the OS, Application, and HANA Parameters.
