Our client is one of the largest American multinational food-manufacturing company producing cereal and convenience foods with over 32,000 employees worldwide.

  • Lack of an integrated business planning application having different functional datasets such as demand Planning, sales Planning, vendor consumption, actual sales and sales forecasting for each brand and channels.
  • Accurate planning for future demand of each product.
  • Use the predictions to make better sales decisions regarding specific channels and products.

 

The Solution:

 

The solution was to build an Integrated Business Planning application that helps assist and inform the decision-making progress around different segments of client’s business.  The data that feeds this application comes from both internal and external data sources and must go through a thorough cleansing and re-structuring before it is ready to be consumed by the application.

Bringing together different functional datasets such as demand planning, sales planning, vendor consumption, actual sales and sales forecasting allows for the tool to drill into specific brands and channels to illustrate trends as well as help provide accurate forecasts to guide future sales decisions.
